Why another NFT ?
Cryptoz were conceptualized back in 2017 in between the Cryptopunks launch and Cryptokitties success. In fact Cryptoz NFTs were inspired to bring together what we felt were the most valued of these 2 platforms together.
Scarcity, rarity, and mystery.
… with a blockchain flavored dose of infinity.
What we underestimated was the 2020/2021 massive saturation of NFT printing factories like Rarible, Nifty Gateway, NBA Top Shot to name a few. These are very exciting times as NFTs have stolen the spotlight from CryptoCurrency itself and skyrocketed in value.
We always believed in the value of a Non-Fungible Token, true ownership of a truly unique digital asset on a decentralized network is invaluable to us, and we intended to provide that same value to a community.
The Long and Slow Road
The development cycle for Cryptoz was fraught with a number of technical challenges, within smart contract design and development, the constantly changing libraries and tools. We wanted to build Universes that would stand the test of time.
Cryptoz is not a pump and dump, it’s a long term play with near limitless potential
Don’t take our word for it, audit the smart contracts for yourself. There are no back doors, the Universe is built on the standardized ERC-721 Non-fungible Token (NFT) specification, there is no off switch, your NFTs can never be revoked, or stolen. The Cryptoz NFT Universe is truly an autonomous self-sufficient existence outside control albeit for 1 function, the base mintable card types that are issued to the universe.

The Cryptoz NFT Universe is hard coded to a maximum of 5000 mintable card types. The types are varied from very very scarce to very common. Over time tools will develop to help the community rate the scarcity of their card against the NFTs in the Cryptoz Universe.
